Yesterday the Pixelrock team spent the day with our clients, Team BOC and Lockwood Racing at the 2012 Trading Post Perth Challenge at Barbagallo Raceway. Great day out, and the guys from both teams were pretty successful on the day. We had a great time and snapped a few pics, one of which you can see here that features the Team BOC car sitting on the grid before the start of the race. We recently completed work on a total redesign for the website of Red Bull backed rider and 3X World Speedway Champion, Jason Crump. This was a really fun project to be a part of, Jason needed the website have a fresh new look while adhering to a specific colour palette and guidelines, and we are pretty happy with the results.

At Pixelrock Creative, we live and breathe art and design. In between design jobs and emails, we are often working on various artistic projects just for fun and we have decided to turn these little projects into a series, and if anyone likes them we might even look at doing some print runs in the future. This art series focuses on abstract vector patterns and famous or inspirational quotes that might look good as a wallpaper for your computer, phone or in a nice frame on your wall. We are very pleased to introduce a very interesting venture from respected media personality and all round motor sport tragic Aaron Noonan who is otherwise known as the V8 Sleuth. The V8 Sleuth is Australia's most extensive record of chasis information for cars that have raced in the Australian V8 Supercars and other similar categories. We breathed a sigh of relief when we made this website live as there was a phenomenal amount of content that needed to be included and we are very pleased with the results. We really wanted to create a modern and unique style for the V8 Sleuth which will flow into other mediums and V8 Sleuth projects in the future. We placed an emphasis on a strict colour scheme, graphics and typography ideas which are most evident in the chassis listings that you can view once you subscribe. 

The feedback from this project has been great and we are really looking forward to working on the next V8 Sleuth project. Check out the site here

We recently completed two website designs for V8 Supercar team Brad Jones Racing, one for Team BOC which you can see in this post and one for Lockwood Racing which you can view below. Both of these teams are run by BJR despite having different major sponsors, so our brief was to create 2 websites which had the same layout, content and features but reflected each teams branding. Visually we designed each website using the car graphics as a guide, while incorporating features such as full social network integration and a dynamic area called the department of statistics which will update as the season progresses and give fans a unique insight into the team. We also created a promotional wallpaper and designed their Twitter and Facebook pages to match the new look.
